Privacy policy

Last updated: 9 September 2026

I take your privacy seriously. This page explains what personal information I collect through my work and website, why I collect it, how I keep it safe, and what rights you have over it. I have adopted the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

If you have any questions after reading this, just get in touch - details are at the bottom.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to anyone who visits my website, contacts me about a project, or works with me as a client.

What information I collect

Depending on how we work together, I may collect:

  • Contact details - our name, email address, and anything else you share via my website's contact form (built using Tally) or by emailing me directly.

  • Project information - details you give me about your brand, business, or project so I can do the design work you've hired me for. I may also use Tally to collect this information through project intake forms. This can sometimes include sensitive material, such as photos of people or other identifiable information, if it's relevant to your project and you choose to share it.

  • Basic website usage data - my website is built on Framer, which provides simple, privacy-friendly built-in analytics (like visitor counts). This data is anonymised and doesn't identify you personally. I don't use tracking cookies, ad trackers, or third-party analytics tools like Google Analytics.

I don't collect or store any payment details myself. Payments are handled either directly by you (via PayID or direct deposit) or through my accounting software (Solo by MYOB) which processes Tap to Pay and online payments on its own secure systems.

How I collect it

Mostly, I collect information directly from you - through my website's contact form, by email, or during our project conversations. I don't buy or source personal information from third parties.

Why I collect it

I use your information to:

  • respond to your enquiries and discuss potential projects;

  • deliver the design services you've engaged me for;

  • manage invoicing and business records (via Solo by MYOB); and

  • meet my legal and tax obligations as a sole trader.

I don't send marketing emails or newsletters, and I won't use your information for any purpose beyond what's needed to run our working relationship.

Confidential project files

When we work together, I use a client contract that includes clauses covering confidentiality and how long I retain your project files. That contract governs the handling of any sensitive or confidential material you share with me during a project, in addition to this policy.

Who I share information with

I don't sell or rent your personal information to anyone. I may share it with:

  • Framer, which hosts my website;

  • Solo by MYOB, my accounting software, for invoicing and payment processing;

  • Tally, which powers my website's contact form and project intake forms; or

  • others, only if required by law, or with your consent.

Some of these providers store information overseas:

  • Framer is based in the Netherlands and uses Amazon Web Services for hosting, which can involve transferring data outside the European Economic Area, including to the United States, under legally recognised safeguards.

  • MYOB is an Australian company, but MYOB may share information with related companies and service providers located overseas, including in New Zealand, the Philippines, and the United States.

  • Tally is based in Belgium and stores form submissions - including any sensitive material submitted through project intake forms - on secure servers within the European Union.

Each of these providers has its own privacy and security standards in place, and I only work with services I consider trustworthy.

A note on sensitive information: if a project intake form asks for anything sensitive - such as photos of identifiable people or other personal details about your own clients or customers - sharing it is always your choice, and I only request it where it's genuinely relevant to the project. I handle this information under the same confidentiality terms as any other project file (see below), and it's covered by the additional protections the Privacy Act gives to sensitive information.

Cookies and website analytics

My website doesn't use tracking cookies or third-party analytics. The only usage data collected is Framer's built-in, anonymised site analytics, which can't be used to identify you personally and doesn't require a cookie banner under privacy regulations like the GDPR.

How long I keep your information

I keep client project files for five years after a project is delivered, as set out in my client contract.

Keeping your information safe

I take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, or unauthorised access - for example, by using secure, reputable software providers, and limiting who has access to project files.

If something ever went wrong - like a data breach involving your information - I'd take prompt steps to contain it, assess the impact, and notify you if you were affected, in line with my obligations under Australian privacy law.

Accessing or correcting your information

You're welcome to ask me what personal information I hold about you, or to request a correction if something's out of date or wrong. Just contact me and I'll sort it out as quickly as I can - usually free of charge, unless a request requires significant extra work.
